Ugghh. Just got done with one major project and already working on others. My hubby and I designed and created a huge quilt. It is between a queen and king size. This was a most fabulous present for our Latvian friends Andris and Evija for their wedding (although we gave it to them on their first anniversary). It took a lot longer to make because I ended up in the hospital for a while after starting it last year. But finally we have completed it and have pictures too. We also created a mini documentary of our journey in quilting and took little snippits of video whenever we worked on it throughout the year.

Been busy lately but I made some cool things... Here are pictures of a doll, and a shawl (it rhymes, hee hee) that I made for my nephew's birthday and his mommy, my sister. I also made her a cool shawl from some lucious y lovely Moda Dea yarn called Eden. It's soft and yummy and I used a beautiful electric blue color.

Oops, I forgot to take a picture of the doll and I already sent it. It was so cute with red and orange braids popping out of his head. The poncho is my own design, need details, just let me know and I'll tell you how I made it. It is knit btw. The lovely necklace you see here is crocheted on wire with beads. I love the way it came out and how it looks on:

I have been trying to organize my thoughts... what are some good projects to design for The Bead Monkey? Any ideas? It needs to be hip and cool, people really dig my wire working classes.

I had a class cancelled today, boo hoo. That doesn't mean it isn't cool though. I'm cool alright, and my designs are cool too. It was the stupid name I tell ya, (Spangles?!!) Next time I better make sure that they use the names that I come up with for my designs. I'm renaming this one Mambo. Yah, the Mambo... so much glitzyer.
Cha cha cha.

And here is a little snippet from an unfinished one:

Not much today... still trying to get used to something new. I taught a class yesterday. It was one of my own designs, a bracelet. I call it Hugs and Kisses because it has a xoxo pattern. Cute, neh? There are two versions: I still need to work on several new designs for future classes. This summer I am teaching my old but fab class; Maria's Classy Cuff. If you'd like to see The Bead Monkey class schedule and a picture of my cuff bracelets you can check out their website: www.thebeadmonkey.com I currently have three different classes, all my own design of course, Maria's Classy Cuff, Hugs and Kisses, and Spangles. (uh, I didn't name that last one... not my idea) Anyways they are all totally cute. (I love beads)

Yarn notes: working on a cute as can be shawl for my sis and starting an adorable stripey big funky hair doll for my nephew. I'll post the finished pics.

First timer here...

Hi y'all, this is my first shot wish me luck. Never done much with blogging before but I really like the idea of having my own e-journal. Okay right now I will try to make a commitment. Just keep in mind that I got three little kids, not goats l'il people, running around me all day long. Don't worry it's not so bad, they can be lots of fun. Anyways I wouldn't trade 'em.
